Real Hollywood Glam Wedding: Amy and Garret

The Owl is back with a real wedding feature! Today The Youngrens, a husband and wife photography team, were kind enough to share Amy and Garret's wedding with us. We were able to get the inside scoop from Erin Youngren about this beautiful vintage wedding, so sit back, relax and grab that cup of coffee because there's so much loveliness to take in!

Amy has always said that she was born in the wrong decade and everything about her and Garett's Salt Lake City winter wedding reflected their vintage, hollywood glam personal sense of style. They sought out clean, modern backdrops for the wedding day and infused them with vintage details centered around the colors and textures of peacock feathers. They got ready at The Little America hotel in downtown Salt Lake, a boutique hotel with vintage details that fit in perfectly with the overall feel of the wedding details. And then they chose the modern architecture of the Salt Lake City downtown library for their first look and portraits before the ceremony.

The ceremony and reception took place at The Point, a restaurant located on the top floor of the Huntsman Cancer Institute which is tucked at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The restaurant is wrapped in windows and guests enjoyed a panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains and the city lights. They had guests sign a white vase as their guestbook and used gold touches and pearls as accents throughout the room.
