I'm a really, really big fan of wedding gown designer Watters & Watters. In fact, when I was shopping for my own wedding dress, I was always drawn to Watters for their modern, fresh take on elegance and clean-line design. When their latest collection came out, I wanted to be a bride all over again just so I could try on these dresses! Watters offers an incredible amount of trendy style and classic lines with the budget bride in mind. When flipping through the latest collection, I noticed that many Watters gowns could easily substitute for couture dresses that so many of us covet, but cannot afford. Of course, this Owl adores Monique Lhuillier, Priscilla of Boston and Amsale, but Watters & Watters is truly a contender as far as style and budget are concerned.
Take a look at today's feature: Saving with Watters vs. Splurging with Couture.
Left: Amsale Kellan Dress, over $4,000 Right: Watters Passion Dress, under $2,000
Left: Amsale Tyler Dress, over $3,500 Right: Watters Austin Dress, Under $2,000
Left: Monique Lhuillier Dress, over $5,000 Right: Watters Odessa Dress, under $2,000
Monique Lhuillier Kelsey Dress, over $7,000 Right: Watters Lasara Dress, under $2,800
Left: Priscilla of Boston Dress, Style 4216, over $3,500 Right: Watters Dress Houston, under $2,600

these dresses make me wish I was 25 and getting married. beautiful!
I love that WATTERS dresses are more beautiful than the more expensive ones! It was nice to see the comparison, thanks for this posting! I LOVE WATTERS AUSTIN! ...one day!
I actually purchased the Austin Watters gown for my September 2010 wedding from an authorized Watters/Wtoo boutique. I paid more than $2000 for it ($2800 CAD plus taxes and alterations!). I originally fell in love with the Christos Desiree gown, but it was way out of my budget ($4500). The Watters gown feels so amazing and has a much better price point. Great comparisons and great posts. Thanks!
This is a very useful post for all brides-to-be! Sometimes, a second thought about spending so much money on a gown that you can only wear for one day is a very good thing indeed!
Just bought the Austin style for my wedding in the spring...LOVE it.
